Project title *
Use of mobile app to monitor agricultural farming activities.
Description *
For two years, MEFOSEP has focused on improving food production by use of notice board to monitor food security by conducting participatory planning with the farmers, use of a questionnaire tool to monitor the farmer’s activities by collecting data under the variables of land cultivation, irrigation, land value addition, crop protection, production and sales. The collected data is aggregated and updated on the notice board. This has increased food production by 19.35%, the adoption of DAP fertilizer rose by 15.69% and there have been an increase in land used. This system has been updated into a mobile app system
