Information about the project
Ghana e-Agriculture project
e-Agriculture
The concept of Ghana's e-Agriculture system was to bridge the gap between Agricultural extension agents(officers) and farmers in Ghana. The plan was to reach as many farmers as we can to provide best extension and best agronomic practices by applying ICT in information designation. The platform enables agricultural experts, researchers, farmers, processors and all other stakeholders along the agricultural value chain exchange opinions and resources relating to agriculture. The overall goal of the e-Agriculture is to create a multi-stakeholder, people-centred, cross-sectored platform that will bring together stakeholders representing relevant constituencies of e-Agriculture that will result in agriculture modernization; and increase agricultural production and productivity.
National implementation: Ghana
