Information about the project
Setting up new network via GPON technologies
As we know, GPON is a telecommunications technology that implements a point-to-multipoint architecture, in which unpowered fiber optic splitters are used to enable a single optical fiber to serve multiple end-points such as customers, without having to provision individual fibers between the hub and customer. Today most networks use GPON. As a national communications operator of Azerbaijan, we also tend to integrate to innovations of ICT sector throughout the world and improve the relevant sphere at first, within the Republic, then in the region. The main objective of the project is to set up new network for providing high-storey building in the regions of the Republic of Azerbaijan with high speed Internet via GPON technologies. At the first phase, four regions are planned to be set up GPON based network.
National implementation: Azerbaijan
Planned for future from 20/09/2017 to 29/12/2022
