The Youth IGF (Youth in Internet Governance) aims to provide the opportunity for equal participation of multiple stakeholders in the process of building the information society to adolescents and young people from different countries of the world. The main objective is to enable young people's voice to be heard by the leaders of the information society on issues related to Internet governance and to help young people to participate actively in decision-making processes. Particular attention is paid to the participation of young people from vulnerable groups and those who have fewer opportunities for better social inclusion. The IGF Youth reinforces active citizenship among young people and participates in the development of intercultural and intergenerational dialogues. The IGF Youth is an initiative developed by TAC-Together against cyber-crime International, French youth and its partners. The IGF Youth Initiative was conceived during the First Youth IGF French and Adolescents event, which took place in 2011.
