«Bridging the digital divide» – provision of modern telecommunication services to rural settlements of the Russian Federation with a population of 250 to 500 people.

The development by the «Rostelecom» of a telecommunication network to provide access to the information and telecommunication network Internet in small residential areas of Russia (with 250 to 500 people). PJSC Rostelecom is a universal service operator in Russia acting on the basis of the Russian Federation Government Decree No. 437-p dated 26.03.2014. As a universal service operator Rostelecom is responsible for provision of universal telecommunication services with the use of access points connected to the communication network by fiber-optic communication links.
