The Sputnik.Readings poetry relay started in March 2015 as a cross-cultural project aimed at bringing people across the multipolar world closer together by reading eminent poetry about core shared values such as love, life and the beauty of the world. The project consisted of linking Sputnik newsrooms in a video relay that showed the world in all its ethnic and cultural diversity. The project was implemented from March 2015 until May 2016 by Sputnik news agency and radio hubs in eight Eurasian countries: Abkhazia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova and South Ossetia.
