Mobile Learning in Brazil: Management and Implementation of Current Policies and Future Perspectives
In recent years, there has been intensified interest from governments in many countries in the acquisition of devices such as tablets and laptops, with increasing investments in this area. But how are these mobile technologies being integrated into public schools in Brazil? The Lemann Center for Brazilian Studies at Columbia University, with support from Qualcomm, carried out a nationwide 18-month study conducted through schools visits, interviews and focus groups. The outcomes encompass the first book on the issue released as an Open Educational Resource (OER), and an innovative 2-day event with focus on the capacity building of the participants of the study.
National implementation: Brazil
Completed from 03/02/2014 to 30/09/2015
