Information about the project
Cyber Caravan, Public Internet Access Points and Learning Corners
The NCB has brought forward projects like the Cyber Caravan, Public Internet Access Points (PIAPs) in Post Offices and Learning Corners to reduce the digital divide and connect communities. These projects are focused towards universal access to ICT and Internet to all segments of the population. The Cyber Caravans which are equipped with desktop computers travel around the island with IT Support Officers to deliver training and assistance to the public on the use of ICT. The PIAPs have been set up in all the Post Offices around the island with IT Assistants to provide assistance to the public to use such facility. Similar service has been extended through 13 Learning corners in Mauritius and 21 Learning Corners in Rodrigues.
