Meeting of the Expert Group on ICT Household Indicators (EGH)

The 9th Meeting of the Expert Group on ICT Household Indicators (EGH) took place virtually on 15 and 16 September 2021. The meeting was organized by the Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The EGH meeting was held back-to-back with the 12th Meeting of the Expert Group on Telecommunication/ICT Indicators (EGTI), which also took place virtually from 13 to 15 September 2021. A joint EGTI-EGH session was held on 15 September 2021.

The meeting examined the contributions received from members of the EGH online discussion forum over the current working period, with a view to finalizing the items that were under discussion. The outcome of the discussions will be presented at the 18th World Telecommunication/ICT Indicators Symposium (WTIS).

The topics that were covered during the EGH meeting include e-waste indicators in household surveys, child online protection and measuring mobile money (jointly with the Expert Group on Telecommunication/ICT Indicators).

EGH meetings are open to all ITU members and experts in the field of ICT statistics and data collection.
